The installation of this filter is difficult, but really only because of where it is located inside the refrigerator, so it’s not the filter’s fault. For ease, we removed everything from the top shelf so we could easily access the filter area.

This is one of those things that I feel is worth it to spend a bit more on – the name brand LG of the filter to fit an LG fridge, instead of using a generic brand. I don’t like it, but I accept it and move on.

I loved being able to receive this in 1 day with Prime shipping, as we had just completed major surgery for our water – replacing the well pump, so replacing the filter after the new pump was installed was great timing for us.

We definitely recommend and plan to return to this seller in 6 months when it’s time to replace again!

For it’s size it does a great job of filtering out contaminants, you can buy cheaper filters that will fit and work but they often lack the same filtration rating but I prefer better filtration and think the cost is worth it. It would be preferred if these filters would last longer than around 6 months under standard use, but it doesn’t seem to hamper water pressure.

Other off brands are cheaper we did not mess with anything but what was recommended our first one lasted about six months.

Don’t try to save money on these, you’ll get better water and better service from the fresh filters that come from LG. We learned that the hard way.

Easy to install.

Good quality bur far too expensive. No reason this should cost so much as its just a plastic container with activated carbon.

Product installation is as simple as it gets. Take out the old one, push in the new one. Anyone who can stand and use their hands can do in less than five minutes.

The new filter does suggest prior to installation running fresh water thru via your kitchen sink faucet.

The product is well made, from a reputable company, and provides filter nice smelling and clean water for ice cubes or just water.

I change out every six months considering out usage.

As well we pull the ice tray at the same time to get fresh ice making and a general cleaning.

Good tasting water

Like using name brand filter because of added certiciation. Only problem is there are fake ones that look the same but do not fit (neck length wrong where it fits into fridge).

Prefer the brand the fridge came with. Hard to find LG brand locally so I have this on subscribe and save. Great filter. Just remember after replacing the filter, to prepare for air blast when you use water dispenser.

We used the refrigerator water filter for the refrigerator and it works extremely well.

Don’t waste your money on an after-market filter. Get the LG, like this one, that is made for your model of LG. Yes, it’s a little more money but in the long run you will not regret it.

This filter is compact and the water quality is excellent. Simple and easy to change

We enjoy having the chemicals filtered out of our drinking water. It fits in perfectly. It may be a universal size for all the LG refrigerators.

This is the brand of water filter I prefer to use for my LG refrigerator. Feel better using original items in my appliance. The water tastes great.

Expensive but you get what you pay for. this is the average price for genuine LG water filter

This is LG’s replacement filter which is recommended every six months or so, based on your usage. Following the instructions, the old one was easy to remove, the new one easy to install. The water tastes good and is crystal clear. Even though it was more money than I’d like to spend on it, after dropping several grand on a new fridge I’d much rather not take a chance on a non-brand substitute.

Highly recommend LG filter! If you have a LG fridge make sure you buy LG filter!!! I didn’t do it last year and I bought a cheaper brand but the flow of water to the ice maker was too much, it caused to leak water and break the ice maker and then water dispenser in just few months…
I thought I saved money by buying cheaper brand but I had to fix the ice maker and water dispenser…
